Feeding

The maned wolf is an omnivore and eats a range of small animals, fruits, and vegetables with plant matter being a significant portion of the diet.

They hunt using stealth and hearing to detect prey, specifically using a technique called “pronking”, they also eat by eating like any other mammal does.


Reproductive

Maned wolves get mates by scent marking, playful interactions, and mutual grooming. Unlike the wolf, the maned wolf doesn’t have specific mating rituals.
